Mares Bluff Veterans Memorial
A 0.6-0.7 mile round-trip trail (about 300 ft of elevation gain, steep switchbacks, ~30 minutes round trip) at the south end of Clifton leading to a veterans memorial with roughly 2,000 replica dog tags on wire cables and plaques honoring Greenlee County service members killed or missing in action. Built and maintained by veterans and community volunteers around 2015-2016. The summit has a sweeping view of Clifton, about 300 ft above town.

Turn onto Ward Canyon Road at the south end of Clifton, near the Copper Era newspaper building close to milepost 162.8 on US-191; follow about 0.5 miles to the informal trailhead.
