Overview
The Blue River Corridor follows one of Greenlee County’s most remote perennial waterways through the Apache-Sitgreaves National Forests and the Blue Range country. Recreation includes fishing, hiking, horseback riding, primitive and developed camping, wildlife viewing and access to the Blue Range Primitive Area. Forest Service sites such as Blue Crossing Campground and Blue River Trailhead provide points of access, while many side routes and trails lead into very remote terrain. Visitors should expect limited services and cell coverage and should check fire, flood and road conditions before travel.

Access Notes
Access varies by destination. From Alpine, Forest Road 281 (Blue River Road) provides access south into the upper Blue River corridor and several trailheads; other portions are reached by forest and county roads. Confirm the specific destination and current road conditions before travel.
